01 · The problem
More content tools could create more cleanup.
Growing brands are encouraged to accelerate creation before they can consistently identify the approved product record, current asset, authorized claim, review owner, or measurement definition. Adding AI to that operating gap can create faster first drafts and the same slow approval system.
The product challenge was restraint: make the operating argument useful without asking a small team to complete a maturity assessment, learn a large economic model, or navigate a software directory.
02 · The thesis
Control the source, flow, AI role, and outcome.
The working position is simple: small teams improve useful output by connecting approved truth to a repeatable workflow, preserving accountable human decisions, and measuring what survives review.
03 · What was built
One field guide and one live snapshot.
The publication compresses the argument into four controls and four major visuals. The companion tool places inputs and results on one page, calculates automatically, and keeps optional operating questions below the baseline rather than turning them into a separate journey.
04 · How the diagnostic works
A useful baseline before a larger analysis.
The user enters attempted deliverables, creation hours, review/correction hours, and final approval rate. Labor cost is optional. The page immediately returns approved and unresolved output, review/correction work, its share of modeled labor, and optional labor cost per approved output.
Four optional controls improve the recommendation. Deterministic priority rules route source, ownership, workflow, and asset gaps before any AI test. Only a controlled workflow with stable approval and material review work can receive a bounded AI-assisted test recommendation.
05 · How it was validated
Formula protections and complete-route QA.
Validation covers missing values, zero denominators, zero approved output, decimal inputs, local CSV and copy output, print layout, recommendation priority, responsive reflow, keyboard operation, reduced motion, internal links, structured data, forms, staging safeguards, and browser privacy.
The tool makes no network request during calculation, writes no browser storage, and uses no external AI service. Automated tests support implementation confidence; they are not presented as visual approval or production outcome evidence.
06 · What it demonstrates + boundaries
Operating judgment includes knowing what to remove.
The work demonstrates evidence governance, content architecture, product simplification, deterministic modeling, accessible interaction, and static-site delivery. It does not claim client savings, typical ROI, production adoption, industry validation, lead performance, search performance, or audited financial outcomes.
Calculator outputs are directional estimates based only on user inputs. Interface thresholds are transparent decision conventions, not industry benchmarks. PIM or DAM capability is never prescribed directly from the snapshot.
